So as you all know I don't have a boring life and I do dumb things in it. Here is what happened to me this morning. I wake up pretty early to go to work so I decided this morning I wanted to try to put my wedding ring on to see if it finally fit after my pregnancy and me gaining so much weight. It got on but then I noticed it is pretty tight so I got the wrap of it off but the actual ring I couldn't get off. So I woke dave up and said I can't get my ring off and I don't know what to do. I tried soaking it in cold water, ice, and olive oil but nothing. It was getting pretty swollen and starting to hurt. So I started freaking out and said we have to go to the ER. We hopped in the car and dave said let's go to the fire department they will have the tools to get it off. So we knocked on the door and the fireman said come in we have a saw to take it off. It took forever for him to cut through it and it hurt like crazy because it was pinching at my skin. But needless to say I have a broken wedding ring now and a swollen finger but at least my finger was saved and it could have life back in it again. I felt so stupid afterwards and now I pretty much am laughing at myself for how dumb I was oh well I can fix my ring so it is okay. Look below you will see my damaged ring so sad!

Oh my gosh! I get so claustrophobic when I can't get my rings off. I totally know where you are coming from. Luckily I have never had to get mine cut off but that is my biggest fear. Good call on the fire department, at least you didn't have an emergency room bill. Are you going to be home for Christmas for the party?
Oh, that stinks but I would have done the same thing. I can't have tight rings on, it makes me claustrophobic, like Kim! I haven't worn mine since Brooklyn but I keep vowing to lose weight. The Halloween candy is subverting me. Big time.
I always take my wedding ring off as soon as I find out I am pregnant because this is my worst nightmare.
My wedding ring must be bigger than my wedding band though because the ring fits fine now but the band is still tight. I haven't worn it since i had Curtis.
Once i was on an airplane with both kids without my rings and the older lady next to me said something to me about not being married. I had to explain that my fingers were just too fat to wear the ring.
I am glad you got your ring off. I hope you can get it fixed soon.
My dad had to saw a ring off my finger when I was a teenager - I think the fire department would have been a better option:)
